While attending the Daredevil season 2 premiere in New York, actor Mike Colter announced the premiere for his Netflix series is set for Sept. 30. Colter dropped the news during a conversation with Lorraine Cink, host of Marvel.com’s “The Watcher” video series. “You heard it here first,” Colter said. The actor, who debuted as Luke Cage in Jessica Jones season 1, teased, “Well, I’ll just say this, it’s gonna be action-packed from beginning to the very end. Marvel previously announced cast members Simone Missick (Ray Donovan) as Misty Knight, a Harlem police detective determined to learn the truth about Cage; Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy) as Shades, a criminal from Cage’s past; Frank Whaley (Pulp Fiction) as Knight’s partner Rafael Scarfe; and Mahershala Ali (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay) as Cage’s archenemy Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes. Rosario Dawson will also reprise her role of Claire Temple, while Sonia Braga (Angel Eyes) plays Claire’s mom, Soledad. Mark your calendars, Marvelites. To keep you preoccupied until September, Netflix will unleash the second season of Daredevil next week, on March 18.
