The singer’s new release, Anti, just hit first place on the Billboard 200 chart, and according to Billboard, the album sold 166,000 units in the week ending Feb. 4. (124,000 of those units were pure album sales.) Last week, Anti debuted at No. 27 on the list, since it was released towards the end of the tracking week, and this week marks the album’s first full week of sales. Anti was also briefly available to download for free, and those free downloads don’t count toward its chart numbers. WANT MORE EW? All eight of her studio albums have been in the top 10. Anti first premiered on Tidal on Jan. 28, and according to the music service, it was streamed more than 13 million times in the first 14 hours and was downloaded more than 1 million times. The Recording Industry Association of America also certified the album as platinum after only two days.
