Because of course he is! Adam Lambert is joining Fox’s Rocky Horror Picture Show reboot.

The Grammy-nominated singer and former American Idol has signed onto the network’s event movie remaking the 1975 midnight movie musical.

Lambert will play Eddie, “the rock-n-roll loving, ex-delivery boy, who emerges at Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s on a motorcycle and crashes the party.”

Says Lambert: “I grew up watching Rocky Horror, but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. Rocky Horror always made me feel like it was okay to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll!”

Fun fact: Months ago, Lambert was one of the actors being considered for the Frank-N-Furter role, which eventually went to Orange is the New Black‘s Laverne Cox.

The two-hour Rocky Horror will air this fall.
