Tom Hiddleston stars in mysterious trailer for High-Rise

As appealing as the luxurious skyscraper of High-Rise may look, the new teaser for the upcoming film hints that beneath its beautiful exterior lies a much more dangerous place to live.

Formatted as an advertisement for the fictional Royal Architects’ building, High-Rise‘s new clip offers a peek into the world of a closed-off community confined to this single tower, narrated by Dr. Robert Laing (Tom Hiddleston), who urges viewers to “Join us.” The promise of living “free from the shackles of the old, tired world” is on display in the high-rise’s 40 floors of apartments — though perhaps not every floor is created equal. Midway through the trailer, the facade of the high-rise’s beauty and efficiency comes crashing down — will the building’s community do the same?

Based on the J.G. Ballard’s 1975 novel about class warfare, High-Rise, which is directed by Ben Wheatley (Kill List), also stars Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller, Luke Evans, and Elisabeth Moss.
