It's Hitchcock vs. Kubrick in mashup Red Drum Getaway

All work and no play makes Jimmy Stewart a dull boy in “The Red Drum Getaway,” a new mashup short film that pits one of Alfred Hitchcock’s favorite leading men against some of Stanley Kubrick’s most menacing and surrealistic creations.

The brainchild of Adrien Dezalay, Emmanuel Delabaere, and Simon Philippe finds the Stewart of Rear Window and Vertigo relaxing in his apartment and then going for a stroll — only to encounter bizarre behavior from characters such as Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson in The Shining), Alex DeLarge (Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwork Orange), and David Bowman (Keir Dullea in 2001: A Space Odyssey).

Considering the weird vibes he’s encountering, it’s probably not wise for Jimmy to enter the mysterious building demarcated the Red Drum Getaway, which sounds a bit too close to “red rum” for our comfort.
