Rodriguez/Getty Images Jason Alexander is the latest star to join Fox’s The Grinder, Rob Lowe announced on Twitter Wednesday. “TV legend Jason Alexander will play the writer/creator of ‘The Grinder,’ the egomaniac and ersatz tough-guy Cliff Beamis,” Lowe wrote. “Welcome aboard!” Lowe and Fred Savage star in the comedy, which follows an actor who plays a lawyer on TV and then returns to Idaho to become an actual lawyer. Emmanuelle Chriqui and Nat Faxon are also set to appear in the show. Seinfeld fans will recognize Alexander as George Costanza, but he’s also appeared in mutliple other comedies through the years, including Community, Two and a Half Men, and The New Adventures of Old Christine. He also headlined two short-lived series, 2001’s Bob Patterson and 2004’s Listen Up!. The Grinder premieres Sept. 29 on Fox.
