UPDATE: Marvel’s Netflix series Luke Cage is rounding out its roster with yet another comic book casting. Actress Simone Missick has been cast as a young female lead named Missy, EW has confirmed.

As first reported by Deadline, the character is rumored to be Misty Knight, a former New York cop who loses her arm on the job and gets a bionic replacement from Tony Stark.

EARLIER: Luke Cage will see the welcome return of a face from Daredevil while the Marvel hero may have found one of his foes for the upcoming Netflix series.

EW has confirmed that Sons of Anarchy star Theo Rossi has been cast in the upcoming Luke Cage series, the third Marvel-Netflix series following Daredevil and Jessica Jones. As first reported by Deadline, Rossi will play Shades, who in the comics was in prison with Luke Cage at Seagate before escaping with his partner Comanche.

Rosario Dawson will also be appearing in Luke Cage, returning from her stint on Daredevil as Claire Temple. Marvel and Netflix have previously indicated Dawson may appear in other Marvel/Netflix series besides Daredevil, and Luke Cage is a sensible choice for another appearance given that Cage and Temple have been romantically involved in the comics.

The titular hero will be played by The Good Wife‘s Mike Colter, who will first appear in character during Jessica Jones. Alfre Woodward has been eyed as a major villain on the series, while Cheo Hodari Coker has been set as Luke Cage‘s showrunner.
