But Martindale’s accomplished work comes after years of smaller — and occasionally not great — roles. In EW’s First and Worst series, Martindale stopped by to tell us about the first role she ever had on TV, a commercial for Gilette. She also divulged the worst role, another commercial, where a wardrobe miscommunication caused her to be cut from the spot.
