TV Article The Final Girls trailer: Nina Dobrev, Taissa Farmiga star in funny slasher comedy By Clark Collis Clark Collis Senior Writer EW's editorial guidelines Published on August 21, 2015 10:58PM EDT Taissa Farmiga‘s characters in American Horror Story have been through some pretty weird stuff. But maybe — maybe — none of that stuff is quite as weird as what happens in the new horror-comedy The Final Girls (out in cinemas and on VOD and digital platforms on Oct. 9). Farmiga plays a high school student and actress’ daughter named Max, who escapes from a burning cinema by walking through the screen — and into a slasher movie mom once made called Camp Bloodbath. Directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas), The Final Girls costars Malin Akerman, Nina Dobrev, Adam DeVine, Alexander Ludwig, Angela Trimbur, Alia Shawkat, Tory N. Thompson, and Silicon Valley star Thomas Middleditch.
