JK Rowling shares Fantastic Beasts scoop and writing advice on Twitter

J.K. Rowling continues to use her Twitter powers for good. The author teased a new Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them tidbit with her followers on Saturday, and also offered some advice to aspiring authors.

“I feel I owe you a bit of #FantasticBeasts information after you all got behind @Scotlandteam,” she tweeted, referring to the Scotland rugby team’s match against Ireland. She then revealed the following:

For those unfamiliar, Porpentina (or just Tina) is an American witch and the wife of New Scamander, the magizoologist and protagonist of Fantastic Beasts, while Queenie is her sister. Tina met Newt during his travels to discover new magical creatures, and she followed him back to the United Kingdom. Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne is set in the role of Newt, while actress Katherine Waterson will play Tina and singer-songwriter Alison Sudol will play Queenie.

When Rowling dropped this bit of intel, she was asked if the sisters are related to Anthony Goldstein, a background character in the books. She responded by tweeting:
