Paramount is no longer looking. John Green announced via Twitter on Wednesday that Rebecca Thomas will be directing the adaptation of his novel Looking for Alaska.

While Deadline reports that the studio is still negotiating with Thomas to direct the pic, from a screenplay penned by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber (The Fault in Our Stars), Green seemed pretty confident when he tweeted, “IT IS REALLY HAPPENING.”

In the book, Miles “Pudge” Halter enrolls in Culver Creek Boarding School where he finds new friends and adventures. He becomes particularly infatued with his friend Alaska Young, a beautiful, funny, smart girl. But trouble seems to follow Alaska wherever she goes and Miles often goes with her.
