Canadian electronic artist Peaches has announced Rub, her first studio album in six years. Due out September 25, Rub will feature Feist and Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon. Peaches will also tour North America in support of the record.

Although she hasn’t released a studio album since 2009’s I Feel Cream, Peaches has kept busy. In the interim she starred in stage productions, including her one-woman version of Jesus Christ Superstar (Peaches Christ Superstar) and a “electro-rock opera which morphed into a film of the same name” about her rise to fame (Peaches Does Herself). Peaches also collaborated with Yoko Ono and R.E.M., and starred in a Berlin production of Monteverdi’s opera L’Orfeo. Ahead of Rub‘s release, she’ll publish What Else Is In The Teaches of Peaches, a photo book compiling everything she’s done outside of music over the last decade.

Peaches’ music has prominently been featured on shows including 30 Rock, South Park, and True Blood, as well as in the 2003 film Lost In Translation.

She also released the first track from the album, “Light in Places,” and its (slightly NSFW) music video, which Peaches directed.
