The Bates Motel isn’t shutting down anytime soon.

After season 3’s shocking conclusion, A&E has picked up Bates Motel for two more seasons. Specifically, the network has ordered 20 more episodes of the drama starring Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga as Norman and Norma Bates.

“The vision of our incredible creative team has exposed the steady breakdown of the relationship between Norman and Norma Bates,” A&E executive vice president and general manager Rob Sharenow said in a press release. “We are thrilled to bring fans two more seasons to witness the next stages of Norman’s transformation into the most notorious psychopath in cinematic history.”

New episodes of Bates Motel are set to begin production later this year, with the show set to return in 2016.
