The latest Monroe revival project is The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe, a four-part Lifetime miniseries starring Kelli Garner as the leading lady. The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe’s May 30 premiere falls just four days before the 60th anniversary of The Seven Year Itch, perhaps Monroe’s most well-known film. Mira Sorvino, Norma Jean & Marilyn, 1996 Everett Collection Sorvino is given a blonde bob wig, but doesn’t look a lot like Monroe even while in costume. Michelle Williams, My Week with Marilyn, 2011 Nearly 50 years after Monroe’s death, it was almost hard to believe she wasn’t alive when Williams filled the role in a practically mirror-image depiction. Poppy Montgomery, Blonde, 2011 Phillippe Bosse/Lifetime Montgomery’s Marilyn was no comparison to Williams’ in the same year—even with the on-point hair.
