Spike TV, Warner Horizon Television, and Emmy-winning producer Jerry Bruckheimer are teaming up to develop a new scripted drama series called Harvest. The series will follow a cemetery caretaker who is forced into the illegal tissue trade by his estranged father as the only way to protect his teenage daughter from their family’s dark past.

Harvest will be penned by Ian Sobel and Matt Morgan, with Jonathan Littman (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Amazing Race) and Bruckheimer set to executive produce. KristieAnne Reed (CSI: Cyber, Hostages) will co-executive produce.

According to a release, this deal is a part of the SpikeTV’s endeavor into “creating big and bold entertainment for a gender-balanced audience.” The network will debut its first scripted event series in eight years, Tut, this summer.
