Tori Spelling wants to make sure you understand her. Like really understand her. The TV starlet is coming back to reality television with her fifth, yes fifth, show about her and her family with husband Dean McDermott.

True Tori will premiere Tuesday, April 22 at 10 p.m. and aims to show the truth behind the recent speculation surrounding her marriage. Filming started Monday, March 31, only three weeks ahead of the premiere of the first episode in order to document the couple in as close to real-time situations as possible. The series begins with Dean leaving rehab treatment for “some health and personal issues.”

The couple is parents to four children together: Liam, 7, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 1. The family’s “picturesque life” seemed to fall apart last December when reports of McDermott’s infidelity hit the tabloids and he entered rehab in January. Billed as a “unique television event”, the audience will witness Tori and Dean in this emotional period of life. Because the show is as real-time as possible, whether or not their marriage survives may be determined over the six one-hour episodes.

Spelling will also be making a return to her scripted television roots with the upcoming ABC Family show Mystery Girls, co-starring fellow 90210 alum Jennie Garth.
