Lee Thompson Young was found dead in his Los Angeles home Monday, according to People.

The 29-year-old actor, who played the title character in Disney Channel’s The Famous Jett Jackson, had been appearing as Detective Barry Frost in the TNT series Rizzoli & Isles since 2010.

“Everyone at Rizzoli & Isles is devastated by the news of the passing of Lee Thompson Young,” read a statement from TNT, Warner Bros., and executive producer Janet Tamaro. “We are beyond heartbroken at the loss of this sweet, gentle, good-hearted, intelligent man. He was truly a member of our family. Lee will be cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved him, both on- and offscreen, for his positive energy, infectious smile and soulful grace. We send our deepest condolences and thoughts to his family, to his friends and, most especially, to his beloved mother.”

Officials believe Young died from a possible suicide, as he was found in his Los Angeles home with apparent self-inflicted gunshot wounds, according to TMZ.

Young also starred in the Disney Channel’s The Famous Jett Jackson from 1998 to 2001.

“Nothing any of us can say will adequately express our sadness over Lee’s untimely passing — our thoughts are with his loved ones and the many fans of his work,” said a spokesperson for the Disney Channel.
