'Sesame Street' parodies 'Sons of Anarchy': Watch!

Sesame Street

Sesame Street has a history of parodying TV-MA shows, including True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, and Mad Men. Now it’s Sons of Anarchy‘s turn. Jax, Clay, Bobby, and Tig ride as the “Sons of Poetry.” They run rhymes, not guns. Watch the video below. “Just a hobby, right, Bobby?” “No big, Tig.” “Relax, Jax.” “Whatever you say, Clay.”

SOA creator Kurt Sutter expressed his appreciation on Twitter: “growing up with bert & ernie, having a 6 yr. old who loves elmo. this meant so much to me. thank you Sesame Street.” A writing-themed parody will seem particularly apropos to SOA fans who know the FX drama’s ties to the W.B. Yeats poem “The Second Coming” and Shakespeare’s Hamlet, as well as Jax’s penchant for journaling.
