SPOILER ALERT! On this week’s episode of True Blood, Tru Blood spokeswoman Ms. Suzuki (Tamlyn Tomita) caught Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp) tampering with her product and threatened to report it. Naturally, Sarah had to chase her through Vamp Camp and shut her up — and give the show one of its most hysterical scenes to date. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly managing editor Jess Cagle last week on EW’s Sirius XM channel, Camp called the sequence, which was filmed over three days, “the craziest scene I’ve ever shot.” She ended up going to the emergency room — in full Sarah Newlin hair and makeup — for a minor injury she received doing a stunt.

True Blood showrunner Brian Buckner can’t remember the show ever spending that amount of time on a sequence before but, he says, it was worth it. “We realized early on that Sarah was going to carry the torch for Gov. Burrell better than he could carry it himself,” he says, laughing. “She just became this great villain, and the idea of it was this very short-lived version of a descent into madness. She gets pushed like Walter White. The whole concept behind that fight is, you watch it in the movies and it seems easy to break someone’s neck, and killing people is not that easy. Suzuki would not die.” Buckner’s favorite moment? When Suzuki knees Sarah in the groin. “I had to go to set to ask women whether or not that would actually hurt,” he recalls. “I was assured that it would.” Watch the scene below.

As for where Sarah Newlin goes from here, having now killed a human, Buckner says she’ll continue her mission. “She’s a true believer. That’s what’s so scary about her. She thinks she’s doing God’s work, and that guides everything she does. So she’s going to see this plan through,” he says. “She won’t stop.” As we saw in the promo for next week’s penultimate episode of the season, Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) arrives at Vamp Camp with vengeance in mind, but it’s Jason (Ryan Kwanten) who’ll have the chance to end Sarah’s reign. Should he take it? Viewers are torn: According to a poll in our recap of this week’s episode, 34% of viewers think she’s too fun of a character to lose.
