TV Article Britain's Got Talent: Jennifer Lopez sparks controversy By Adam Carlson Published on May 29, 2013 06:24PM EDT Hello JLo! Last night, Jennifer Lopez performed her new single “Live It Up” on Britain’s Got Talent. Though judge Simon Cowell called the number “world class,” some viewers disagreed: Lopez’s performance incited a flurry of angry tweets as well as a string of calls to British regulator Ofcom complaining that her outfit was inappropriate for a family program. Did Lopez show too much of her bottom half or was this a below-the-belt attack? Click on to see more photos and a video clip of Lopez’s sexy song and dance. Lewis Jacobs/NBC Lopez performed in over-the-knee boots, a pair of feathered sleeves, and a very high-cut black leotard. In the course of her five-minute set, the former American Idol judge gave the audience a view of her barely-covered backside and executed a dance move involving a forward-facing pelvic thrust. The overall effect was revealing, but was it inappropriate? Lewis Jacobs/NBC In a statement to EW, an ITV spokesperson says, “We do not believe that Jennifer Lopez’s performance would have exceeded the expectations of the vast majority of the audience for this long-established entertainment program.” If it’s any consolation, JLo seems to be having a lot of fun here.
