TV Article ABC summer schedule: Here's when Desiree Hartsock's 'Bachelorette' airs By James Hibberd James Hibberd James Hibberd is the former editor at large at Entertainment Weekly. He left EW in 2021. EW's editorial guidelines Published on March 21, 2013 09:42PM EDT ABC wasn’t fooling — Bachelor Pad didn’t make the cut despite our plea — but here’s the rest of the network’s summer lineup. ABC’s schedule includes the return of The Bachelorette (with Desiree Hartsock in the driver’s seat), the series premiere of the Alyssa Milano soap Mistresses (which was originally intended for this season, then was pushed until summer — so does that mean it’s worse than Zero Hour?), plus new crime drama Motive (a crime drama that starts each episode by revealing the killer’s identity) and new reality effort Whodunnit? (a mystery competition show). Here’s the plan: Thursday, May 9: 8:00-9:00 p.m. “Wipeout” Monday, May 20: 9:00-11:00 p.m. “The Bachelorette” (special time period premiere following the finale of the “Dancing with the Stars” performance show) Tuesday, May 21 10:01 – 11:00 p.m. “Motive” (new series premiere on a special day and time, following the finale of “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show” from 8:00-10:01 p.m.) Thursday, May 23: 9:00-10:00 p.m. “Motive” (regular time period premiere) 10:00-11:00 p.m. “Rookie Blue” Monday, May 27: 8:00-10:01 p.m. “The Bachelorette” Tuesday, May 28: 8:00-10:01 p.m. “Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition” Wednesday, May 29: 10:00-11:00 p.m. “What Would You Do?” Monday, June 3 10:01-11:00 p.m. “Mistresses” Sunday, June 23: 8:00-9:00 p.m. “Celebrity Wife Swap” 9:00-10:00 p.m. “Whodunnit?”
