Al Roker pokes fun at Matt Lauer on 'Today'

Today's most awkward live TV moment of the day is brought to you by Al Roker on Today. The jokester of the bunch made a slight jab at host Matt Lauer about throwing teammates "under the bus" as Ann Curry's replacement Savannah Guthrie chuckled awkwardly. Oh, no he didn't!

It all went down as the gang was interviewing the U.S. women's rowing team about celebrating their Olympic victory. (TMZ has the clip.) Lauer told rower Mary Whipple that the tradition in New York is to throw winners in the Hudson River. Roker then jumped in (as the interview was wrapping up) with, "Which is different in our tradition, which is to throw one of us under the bus. That's another story."

The remark seemed innocent enough, but it received a semi-stern "Mr. Roker!" from Lauer and Guthrie. This came on the heels of a slightly more awkward Today segment on Thursday during Curry's first show appearance since her demotion earlier this summer. Curry stonewalled Lauer's attempts at small talk and was all business during the reunion.
