But bad news for those who hoped to see the show this spring — performances scheduled between April 19 and May 11 have been canceled in order for the musical to rehearse the $65 million show’s revisions, which will be implemented with the help of The Boy From Oz director Philip William McKinley and Spider-Man comic book writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. (Director Julie Taymor is no longer in charge of day-to-day directorial duties; Bono and The Edge also plan on writing additional songs to the show.) Previews for the show will resume May 12 at Broadway’s Foxwoods Theatre.
