Fall TV Preview: The Cleveland Show

Returning Comedy, Sun. 8:30-9PM, Fox

Yep, Justin Timberlake will play the gay fiancé of Cleveland’s friend and co-worker Henry (Jason Sudeikis). Timberlake will also sing a ballad as the last booger 5-year-old Rallo ever plans to eat, a song the superstar had a hand in producing. ”As I was listening to the lyrics,” says exec producer Rich Appel, ”I said, ‘I don’t think we deserve this level of production and musicality.”’ Even so, musicians seem to gravitate toward Cleveland: T-Pain and will.i.am will guest as Rallo’s entourage — along with Carl Reiner, obviously — and Kanye West will return for the season 2 premiere as 19-year-old Kenny West. President Obama (played by series regular Kevin Michael Richardson) drops by too. Explains Appel: ”Cleveland describes how he used to beat this funny bug-eared kid named Barry Obama at basketball camp: ‘Little odd, smoked like a chimney.”’ SEPT. 26
