'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' add a new friend

''The Real Housewives of Atlanta'''s new friend

She’s used to being in the spotlight.
Kandi, 33, led ’90s hip-hop girl group Xscape, best known for the 1993 hit ”Just Kickin’ It.” ”I’ve definitely been in the public eye before,” says the singer, who also co-wrote TLC’s Grammy-winning song ”No Scrubs.” ”But it’s different when people are seeing you for your personal life and drama.”

Her boldfaced crowd craves the camera.
But don’t expect to see Kandi’s famous friends (including single-named chanteuses Monica and Fantasia, as well as Xscape member and T.I. baby- mama Tameka ”Tiny” Cottle) on Atlanta — they’re all busy filming their own reality shows.

Kandi loves the underdog…and a fight.
The singer helps vocally challenged Kim with her ”music career.” ”I’m not going to say she’s the strongest vocalist ever,” says Kandi. ”But there are a lot of things we can do in the studio to get you where you need to be.” The wigged-out blonde’s questionable singing skills fanned the legendary fight between Kim and NeNe last season. And get ready for an even bigger brawl between Kandi and NeNe this season.
