Kalifornia

Two ’90s Badlands types hitch a ride with a couple of too-hip art types (David Duchovny and Michelle Forbes) who are — wouldn’t you know it — doing a book about murder in America. Director Dominic Sena served his apprenticeship making music videos, which might explain how he could imagine a nowheresville redneck bar that has avant-garde rockers Pere Ubu on the jukebox.
