Valentine’s Day is next month, but it’s never too early to start planning… and making reservations.

Around the River Region, plenty of your favorite dining spots will offer special Valentine’s Day menus. Some haven’t announced their plans yet, and the Advertiser will include them when they’re available.

For now, we have a bunch of early-bird Valentine’s Day announcements. Several are happening well before Feb. 14, and some will be on the weekend after the official day. Feel free to take in as many as you want, whether you’re with that special someone or just want to treat yourself.

Valentine Sip & String Workshop

When: Sunday, Jan. 26, 2 p.m.
Where: The Rex, 3630 Edgewood Road, Millbrook
Info: Enjoy a cold craft beer while learning a new “Lovebirds” craft. Olivia, owner of Already Strung, will walk guests through each step of making their very own string art piece. Go home with a work of art you can proudly display season after season.

Ladies Only Bingo Night Valentines

When: Friday, Feb. 7, doors open at 6 p.m., and bingo starts at 7 p.m.
Where: Paintball on 111, 8449 Holtville Road, Wetumpka
Info: This is bingo for ladies only, with fun and prizes. The night filled with entertainment, laughter, food & drinks, and the chance to take home amazing rewards. Wine is complimentary. This event for ages 21 and up.

R&B Friday: The Pre-Valentine’s Day Edition

When: Friday, Feb. 7, 7-11 p.m.
Where: CT Entertainment, 3360 Selma Highway, Montgomery
Info: An exclusive R&B music event featuring special performances and fine DJ tracks. This is a BYOE event. Bring everything (drink, cups, etc) or they can be purchased at the bar. There will be a cash bar with limited choices.

Info: For ages 21 and up. A romance-filled evening with chocolate, wine pairings and other delights, featuring the Emily Crowe Quartet. Doors open at 6 p.m. Music is from 6:30-8:45 p.m., with a 15-minute intermission at 7:30 p.m.

Valentine’s Cruises on the Harriott II

Cruise the Alabama River aboard the Harriott II this Valentine's Day in Montgomery.

When: Thursday, Feb. 13, and Friday, Feb. 14, and Sunday, Feb. 15 — Boards at 6:30 p.m. each night, and cruises are from 7-9 p.m.
Where: Harriott II Riverboat, docked on the Alabama River in Riverfront Park, 213 Commerce St. (Go through the tunnel on the end of Commerce Street to access the park.)
Info: Three dates to choose from to book cruises – Feb. 13, 14 or 15. Couples can enjoy dinner and dancing while sailing the Alabama River.
