Traffic has resumed on Interstate 71 in downtown Cincinnati after a crash shut down portions of the highway Thursday morning.

Ohio Department of Transportation traffic cameras showed traffic returned to normal on southbound I-71 at the Lytle Tunnel just after 10 a.m.

A rolled-over semi-tractor trailer on southbound I-71 just south of the tunnel caused sections of the highway to close earlier in the morning, Cincinnati police said. Those include northbound Interstate 471 to Fort Washington Way and lanes on I-71 South into Downtown at the tunnel.

After a semi crash Thursday morning, southbound I-71 traffic is being routed off just before the Lytle Tunnel onto Third Street or the Reading Road exits in downtown Cincinnati.

No hazards or injuries were reported from the crash, police said.

Police previously urged drivers to find alternate routes as the highway was expected to be shut down for several hours.
