RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support a multi-sectoral response to assist and protect displaced populations in communal settings (collective centers, camps, transit/reception centers, spontaneous and informal sites, etc.) in North/South Wollo, in line with appropriate relevant standards, such as those in the SPHERE guidelines and the UNHCR Emergency Handbook, and by accepted good practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support a multi-sectoral response to assist and protect displaced populations in communal settings (collective centers, camps, transit/reception centers, spontaneous and informal sites, etc.) in North/South Wollo, in line with appropriate relevant standards, such as those in the SPHERE guidelines and the UNHCR Emergency Handbook, and by accepted good practices.
• Support the selection, planning, and development of communal settings in collaboration with site planners and with national actors to ensure the site design supports protection and assistance of men, women, boys, and girls.
• Support in developing / updating agreed response strategies and action plans for the CCCM sector and ensure that these are adequately reflected in overall CCCM strategies.
• Support the CCCM sector to map out the operational requirements for a CCCM response; and identify and follow standards and guidelines that facilitate implementation.
• Enhance the integration of agreed priority cross-cutting issues in needs assessment, analysis, planning, monitoring, and response. Involve all relevant partners in site needs assessment and analysis and enhance UNHCR leadership in IDP response capitalizing on the actively sought-after synergies between the three clusters (Protection, CCCM and Shelter) it (co)lead.
• Promote local ownership of site management through relevant and meaningful community participation, ensuring that responses are fit for purpose
• Support affected population’s participation in communal setting governance and community mobilization, monitoring, and evaluation, with emphasis on women’s decision-making role and on persons with specific needs (such as the elderly and disabled)
• Support transparent governance of communal settings.
• Support the national government/authorities in implementing their activities and upholding them to their obligations that meet the identified priority needs. Show less
