Población
[editar]La población de Bélgica para el 2021 se estima en un total de aproximadamente 11,521,238 habitantes, con un aumento de más de medio millón en comparación al 2010 (10,839,905 habitantes). Bélgica es uno de los territorios más densamente poblados de Europa.

Religión
[editar]Para el año 2012, 58% de los belgas eran católicos. Otras formas de cristianismo, el islam y otras religiones comprendían un 14% del total de la población. En cuanto a la población no afiliada a ninguna religión, un 27% eran agnósticos o ateos..[1] Para el 2019, una encuesta realizada por el Eurobarómetro mostró que el Cristianismo poseía un 60% de seguidores, con un 54% de católicos, 1% de cristianos ortodoxos, 3% de protestantes y 2% de otros tipos de cristianismo. Por otra parte, los musulmanes tenían un 5% de seguidores y las otras religiones un 4%, mientras que el ateísmo y el agnosticismo correspondían a un 21%.[2]
Idiomas
[editar]Tiene 3 lenguas oficiales: el neerlandés, hablado por el 59% de sus habitantes, el francés por el 40% de sus habitantes y el alemán por un poco menos de 1% de sus habitantes. La capital del país es oficialmente bilingüe (francés: +/-85% - neerlandés: +/-15%).
