The document talks about test benches for diesel pumps. It explains that a testbed is a platform for testing development projects in a rigorous and repeatable manner. It then describes that a test bench simulates a diesel engine and allows testing injection pumps by varying parameters such as fuel pressure, voltage and revolutions per minute. Finally, it mentions some common tests that are performed on test benches such as supply adjustment.

TESTING BENCH
What is test bench?
• A test bench is a platform for experimentation of large development projects. Testbeds provide a rigorous, transparent, and repeatable form of testing. Test bench (diesel pumps) Utility • The usefulness of the test bench is to help diagnose the status or calibration of a rotary, in-line injection pump according to the technical data specified by the manufacturer.
• The test bench is a simulation of a diesel engine, since in it we can do the
following: • Connect the fuel inlet by varying or applying the appropriate pressure. • The return of fuel. • The voltage supply can be 12 -24 volts (rotary pumps). • We can manipulate the number of revolutions per minute, thus carrying out tests on the pumps during start-up, idle, half load, full load or fuel cut-off. • We can visualize the amount of fuel that each element of a pump injects into the test tubes on the bench, with the same volume injected by all the elements of said pump. ASSEMBLY OF A PUMP IN LINE ON ONE BASE. If the pump to be assembled has 6 or more pumping elements, as seen in fig. 1.9, use the thymes quick tion cu LINEAR INJECTION PUMPS
• They are subjected to the following tests:
• •Adjustment of supplies. • •Speed adjustment. • •Maximum flow adjustment. • •Checking supply at idle. • •Start flow adjustment.
