SPEAKING TASK – CUT 2-DDI011
With a partner, personalize the following conversation and role play it in front of your teacher
Sarah: (standing in front of a striking painting) Wow, this painting is absolutely stunning! The artist must
be ________________( Passive expression) by nature; it looks so realistic.
Alex: (nodding) Yes, I agree. The level of detail in this piece is remarkable. The way they've captured the
play of light on those trees is impressive.
Sarah: (pointing to the artist's signature) Look, it's by Maria Rodriguez. She's known for her
_____________ (Adjective to describe art) landscapes. I've seen her work before, and it always leaves me
_____________ (Passive expression) by its beauty.
Alex: (noticing another nearby exhibit) Over there, the fashion-themed sculpture is quite ______________
(adjective to describe art). It seems to blend elements of traditional and ___________(kind of art) design.
Sarah: (examining the sculpture) You're right, the artist must have been __________ ( Passive Expression)
by different eras. The mix of cloth and stone is intriguing.
Alex: (gesturing towards a nearby jewelry display) Speaking of mixing materials, have you seen these
jewelry pieces? They combine silver, gold, and even some glass elements.
Sarah: (admiring the jewelry) Oh, these are exquisite! The artist's creativity is evident. It's like they've
brought together the best of different worlds, just like a work of art should.
Alex: (walking towards a section with abstract paintings) Now, if you're looking for something more
abstract, these paintings might catch your eye. They seem to be inspired by emotion and movement.
Sarah: (contemplating the abstract art) Abstract art always challenges my perception. It's incredible how
an artist can convey so much with seemingly chaotic patterns and colors.
Alex: (pointing to a wooden sculpture) And here, we have a piece made from reclaimed wood. It's both
modern and _____________ (adjective to describe art) in its design, don't you think?
Sarah: (inspecting the wooden sculpture) Absolutely, it's a beautiful blend of materials and styles. It's great
to see artists experimenting and pushing boundaries like this.
Alex: (looking around at the various artworks) This exhibition is a wonderful mix of different mediums and
inspirations. It's a testament to the diversity and talent in the art world.
