1.0 SCOPE

1.1 This specification defines the minimum requirements for the design, fabrication,
testing, inspection, stamping, certification, and preparation of shipment of One
(1) Vessel Close Drain Sump with two (2) Sump Pumps, suitable for installation
on Station CUYABENO Supporting braces and other accessories.

1.2 And two (2) Open Sump Pumps: PPD-CYP-3201/3202 to New Open Drain
sump Concrete T-CYP-3201.

This section covers the technical requirements for materials and the methods of
Vessel Close Drain Sump, Tag-V-CBRA-3202 and Sump Pumps, Tag: PDP-
CBRA-3203/3204, and Piping, Valves and Instruments.

The pumping units are meeting the requirements of this specification and the
referenced documents.

2.0 DEFINITION OF TERMS

Within this Specification the following definitions shall apply:

 COMPANY – PETROAMAZONAS

 The PRINCIPAL is the party, which initiates the project and ultimately
specifies the technical requirements. The PRINCIPAL may also include
an agent or consultant, authorized to act for the PRINCIPAL.

 The CONTRACTOR is the party, who carries out all or part of the
design, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a
project. The PRINCIPAL may sometimes undertake all or part of the
duties of the CONTRACTOR.

 The PURCHASER is the party, which buys the equipment, its auxiliaries
and all associated equipment for its own use or as agent for the
COMPANY. The PURCHASER may be either PRINCIPAL or
CONTRACTOR.

 The VENDOR is the party, who manufactures and/or supplies the


equipment to perform the duties specified by the CONTRACTOR.

3.0 CODES, STANDARDS AND COMPANY SPECIFICATIONS

3.3 If a Code, Standard, or Specification listed above references other Codes,


Standards, or Specifications, those referenced documents shall be considered
part of this specification.

3.4 This Specification is intended to supplement and not replace the requirements of
the ASME Code. Nothing in this Specification should be construed as allowing,
or requiring, design criteria, materials, inspection, etc. less than that required by
the ASME Code. The VENDOR shall promptly notify PURCHASER if he finds
any apparent contradictions between this Specifications and/or PURCHASER
furnished drawings and the ASME Code.

3.5 All deviations from these Specifications, the purchase order, or the attached
drawing shall have written approval of the PURCHASER.

4.0 GENERAL VENDOR INFORMATION

4.1 The design and fabrication of the required items shall be based on the
information provided in this Specification, attached drawing, data sheets and
referenced Codes and Standards.

4.2 The vessel shall meet or exceed the design pressures and temperatures shown
on the drawings and specifications.

4.3 Company’s duly authorized agents and/or representative shall have the
following:

4.3.1 Free access to those portions of Vendor’s facilities utilized in any


manner for construction of the vessel and other components under this
specification.

4.3.2 Free access and the right to review all records, logs, reports, and
certificates connected or concerned in any manner with construction of
the vessel and other components under this specification.

4.3.3 Right to inspect and/or witness any of Vendor’s activities and/or


operations in conjunction with this specification and to reject any work,
material or procedure deemed defective or sub-standard.

4.4 VENDOR shall be responsible for all detailed design together with workmanship
and performance of the vessel.

4.5 In the absence of any applicable codes and standards, it is the intent of the
COMPANY that the VENDOR will adhere to the best engineering practices and
that material and workmanship shall be of a high standard.

4.6 Vendor’s extent of supply shall consist of the design, provision of materials,
construction, painting, testing, delivery and all necessary sub-vendor
coordination required.

4.7 Conflicts between the requirements of this specification and the data sheets
shall be brought to the Company’s attention in writing. The COMPANY will
forward the resolution of conflicts to the CONTRACTOR in writing.

4.7.1 Where the Vendor’s bid deviates from the specifications, this fact shall
be separately stated in the bid under the heading "Exceptions to the
Specifications". Exceptions must address the standards, job
specifications and the request for quotation. Failure to identify exceptions
shall be deemed to be acceptance by the VENDOR of the specification
requirements.

4.7.2 Request for substitutions of any kind shall be complete with all pertinent
engineering information required for Company’s evaluation of the
superiority, or equivalence of the Substitution. Substitutions may not be
made without express approval of COMPANY.

5.0 DESIGN REQUIREMENTS


THE CLOSE DRAIN SUMP V-CYP-3202 AND SUMP PUMPS PPD-CYP-
3203/3204, SHALL BE DESIGNED FOR THE FOLLOWING OPERATING AND

5.1 FOR CLOSE SUMP TANK: V-CYP-3202

5.1.1 The Close Drain Sump Tank shall be designed in accordance with the
referenced Codes and Standards for the process conditions given on the
attached P&ID and the data sheet. The thickness of vessel shells, heads
and other pressure containing parts shall be computed as set forth in the
ASME Code for the design pressures and temperatures indicated on the
attached drawing.

5.1.2 The vessel shall be designed for below grade installation on a concrete
slab.

5.1.3 The vessel supplier shall provide a data sheet of the vessel, drawing:
58D002-CYP-20-DS-010, to the Sump Pump’s vendor. This information
has to be used for the manufactured of the base plate for Sump Pumps,
according of the flange vessels: nozzles. All nozzles shall have the
same level. (Note, pumps and motors are not included in the scope of
supply of vessel vendor.)

5.1.4 All the nozzles as shown on P&ID´s:58D002-CYP-01-029 and listed in


the attached data sheets: 58D002-CYP-20-DS-010 shall be located on
the top-end of the vessel and designed in accordance with Company
Specification No. B15-ECU-20-SP-011, "Unfired Pressure Vessels" and
ASME Code.

5.1.5 The vessel shall be externally and internally coated in accordance with
the COMPANY Specification No.: PAM-EC-50-SP-001-"Coating
Specification”.

5.1.6 For each spool support, a minimum of three (3) braces shall be
considered. Vendor shall furnish all the materials for supports (braces,
clamps etc.). The vessel vendor shall weld Eyelets. However, the
assembly of spools will be conducted in the field.

5.1.7 To overcome buoyancy, vessel will be anchored in the concrete pad. The
vessel shall not be placed directly on the concrete pad. Moreover, the
bedding material, at least 6” (approximately 150 mm) deep, must be
spread evenly over the dimensions of the pad to separate the tank from
the concrete pad.

5.1.8 A sufficient number of hold-down straps with separating pads, made of


an inert insulation dielectric material, shall be supplied. The separating
pad should be at least 2” wider than the hold-down strap width and must
be carefully placed anywhere on the vessel where hold-down strap
would come into direct contact with the vessel shell.

5.1.9 Shop Drawings

The shop drawings shall be complete and of sufficient detail to fully


describe the pressure vessel and all appurtenances. Material
specification (and grade or class) of all parts, including reference to UT
and/or normalizing requirements, if applicable. The following must be
shown on the shop drawings:

 Thickness of shell and heads


 Type heads
 Type of flanges or nozzles
 Shipping weight / filled water weight
 Code under which the vessel was built
 Sketch of all data plate markings
 Weld symbols
 Dimensions and tolerances for all vessel connections
 Complete details of all internals (both dimensional and
material specifications) including trays, if applicable.
 Detail of man-way davits or hinges
 Design data
 Construction notes and details
 Pad eye details including designation of planned shackles
and minimum required sling length.
 Any other information required by PURCHASER to verify
the vessel design.

5.2 For the Sump Pumps

5.2.1 Motor shall be designed in accordance with current NEMA, IEEE and ANSI
standards and OSHA regulations, Type Gear box for mounting of a NEMA
motor,

5.2.2 Motor shall be rated at 230/460 volts, 3 phases, 60 Hz. Explosion protection:
Class 1, division 1, Group C&D only, T3C, Thermal class: F, It shall be the
responsibility of the pump vendor to insure specific design adequacy and
performance of the motor (rated hp, speed, starting torque, capabilities, etc.) As
required by the specified pump performance.

5.2.3 Motor shall be a severe (chemical) duty suitable for outdoor location in a Class
1, Group d, and Division 1 area. Motor enclosure shall be totally enclosed
explosion proof (TEXP).

5.2.4 Motors shall preferably be directly connected with the pump. The motor
nameplate rating (exclusive of service factor) shall be a minimum of 110% of the
greatest horse power (including gear and coupling losses) required for the
specified operating conditions. The motor nameplate rating including service
factor shall be suitable for operation at the relief valve setting including 10%
accumulation.

5.2.5 A common base plate shall be provided under the pump and driver.

5.2.6 Nameplates shall include purchaser’s purchase order number and equipment
number. If there is not sufficient room for this information on the manufacturer’s
standard nameplate, a separate stainless steel tag of the same construction
shall be mounted on the unit at an appropriate place with stainless steel screws.

5.2.7 Vendor shall paint units per company specification PAM-EC-50-SP-001


“Coating specification”, top color shall be forest green.

6.0 MATERIALES

6.1 Materials of construction for the vessel and other components and Sump
Pumps shall be conforming to indicate on the attached data sheets. All
materials shall be new and unused. Written verification of compliance
with the material specifications shall be included with Vendor’s proposal.

6.2 Gaskets for raised face flanges shall be spiral wound non-asbestos with A-
304 Stainless steel windings, Flexitallic Style "CG", or equal when
approved by the PURCHASER.

7.0 FABRICATION

7.1 General - The VENDOR shall not commence fabrication of the vessel
without the prior notification of PURCHASER, nor shall the VENDOR
commence any fabrication prior to the receipt and incorporation of
Purchaser’s comments following Purchaser’s review of the shop drawing
set. When the VENDOR intends to have a vessel partially assembled by
a third party VENDOR in accordance with the ASME Code, or use any
other sub-VENDOR, the VENDOR shall clearly state that fact in his
quotation. All items of this Specification shall apply to the third party

VENDOR, including the notification of PURCHASER prior to the


commencement of vessel fabrication.

7.2 Welding - All welding, the qualification of welding procedures, and the
qualification of welders and welding operators shall be in accordance
with the latest edition of Section IX of the ASME Code, and its
subsequent addenda.

7.3 Welded vessels shall be stress relieved when required by the ASME
Code. Flange facings shall be protected against oxidation during heat
treatment. No welding on vessels shall be done after stress relieving,
unless specifically authorized by PURCHASER.

7.4 Vendors shall provide protective coating in accordance with the company
specification PAM-EC-50-SP-001-1a “Coating Specification”.

8.0 INSPECTION AND TESTING

FOR THE CLOSED DRAIN SUMP TANK:

8.1 The responsibility for inspection in compliance with the ASME Code rests
with the VENDOR. However, PURCHASER reserves the right to inspect
vessels at any time during their fabrication to ensure that the vessel.

8.2 Materials and workmanship are in accordance with these Specifications and
the ASME Code.

8.3 VENDOR shall furnish PURCHASER with a fabrication schedule prior to


start of shop work so that arrangements can be made for shop
inspection.

8.4 Prior to the final inspection of vessels, all slag, loose scale, dirt, grit, weld
splatter, oil, test medium and other foreign matter shall be removed from
inside and outside of vessel and piping.

8.5 The approval of any work by Purchaser’s authorized representatives,


and the release of a vessel for shipment, shall in no way relieve the
VENDOR of any responsibility for carrying out the provisions of these
Specifications.

8.6 Every item and connection associated with the work shall be subject to
100% non-destructive inspection at the discretion of the COMPANY.
Methods of non-destructive testing (NDT) shall include, but not limited
to, radiographic, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic inspection. All non-
destructive examination (N.D.E.), repairs and re-inspection resulting
from NDT shall be at the Vendor’s expense.

8.7 Radiographs of welds in pressure vessels and piping within the limits of
the ASME Code shall be performed and interpreted in accordance with
Paragraph UW-51 of the ASME Code.

8.8 All ultrasonic testing shall be performed in accordance with this


specification and the applicable codes. Areas subject to 100% ultrasonic
inspection shall include, but not be limited to:

 Nozzle connections to vessels.


 Beam splices and connections on Skids.
 Laminations of flat vessel material and as-rolled structural
shapes.

8.9 All welds in the vessel and nozzle necks shall require 100% X-ray and
shall be interpreted in accordance with the latest edition of ASME
Section VIII and this Specification.

8.10 All radiographs shall be stored in an air-conditioned environment


accessible to the COMPANY representative at any time during the
fabrication. All weld repairs shall be reshot and filed with the original film.
VENDOR shall not, under any circumstances, destroy film that exhibits a
flaw either prior to or subsequent to the repair operation.

8.11 After the vessel is completed and stress relieved, the VENDOR shall
subject it to a hydrostatic test, conforming to Paragraph UG-99 of the
ASME Code, latest edition, including a hydrostatic test at 1.3 times the
maximum allowable working pressure. The duration of the hydrostatic
test shall be a minimum of 1.5 hours after all leaks have been stopped.
After the final hydrostatic test, the vessel shall be drained completely.
The VENDOR shall furnish a pressure recorder for the hydrostatic test.

FOR THE PUMPING UNITS

8.12 The manufacturer shall provide purchaser sufficient advance notice of


shop inspections and tests that the purchaser desires to witness or
observe and has so stated in the purchase order or the pump data
sheet.

8.13 A non-witnessed hydrostatic test and non-witnessed performance test


are required as a minimum.

8.14 test curves and supporting data shall be submitted and approved prior to
shipment of the pumps.

9.0 IDENTIFICATION STAMPING

9.1 Plates, forgings and pressure parts shall be identified as required by the
ASME Code.

9.2 Each complete vessel shall be provided with a A-316 stainless steel
nameplate seal-welded to a bracket welded to the vessel shell and so
located that it is easily accessible after installation (bracket shall be
welded to the vessel prior to stress relieving, if required).

The bracket shall be a "T" type with sufficient standoff to allow seal-
welding and the painting of the vessel behind the bracket.

The nameplate shall be raised 1” above the Insulated surface. This


nameplate will contain at the minimum, the following data:

 ASME symbol showing vessel is x-rayed and, if appropriate,


stress relieved
 Manufacturer's name
 Manufacturer's serial number
 National Board Registration Number
 Maximum test pressure
 Date tested
 Thickness of heads and shell
 Corrosion allowance / coating / cladding
 Maximum allowable working pressure at design temperature
 Pressure limiting element(s)
 Maximum allowable working temperature
 Purchaser’s vessel tag number and Inspector's name stamp
 WEIGHT (DRY) LBS.

10.0 PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT


10.1 All unpainted finished surfaces shall be coated with a suitable rust
preventive compound, and all flanged openings properly protected by
suitable metal or plastic covers of sufficient thickness which shall be
securely fastened. Threaded openings, other than telltale holes in nozzle
reinforcing pads and saddles, shall be protected with steel plugs screwed
in.

10.2 Any items shipped loose shall be tagged and crated. The crate shall be
tagged with vessel tag number. Shipping papers shall include a complete
list of items contained in each crate.

Packaging of vessel or loose material shall be as per any attached


export crating specifications.

10.3 The PURCHASER Project Engineer shall be notified of vessel handling


procedures. These procedures shall also be listed on shipping papers.
Notification is required for, but is not limited to the following:

10.3.1 Any limitation on angle of lift for pad eyes.

10.3.2 Any other precautions necessary to handle the vessel without


damage.

10.4 VENDOR shall be responsible for load out, tie down, and securing for
shipment, the completed skids at Vendor’s facility on COMPANY
furnished transportation. VENDOR shall be also responsible for
supplying all spreader bars, frames, and rigging required for load out at
of the skids at Vendor’s facility. Removal from transport upon arrival at
the designated location shall be by COMPANY or designated agent.

10.5 Preparation for shipment the units pumps shall be for a minimum of 6
months out door storage.

10.6 Screwed connections shall be coated with heavy rust preventive grease
and shall be plugged with a plug or cap as required.

CONTRACTOR DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS

NOTES:
1. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish the specified documentation with the original and each
copy of their quotation as tabulated on pages 13 and 14 (Contractor Documentation Matrix)
as well as any other technical information that they deem necessary and appropriate.
2. CONTRACTOR shall furnish for approval and record the specified documentation in the
number of copies indicated and within the number of calendar days indicated following
receipt of Purchase Order.
3. All CONTRACTOR documentation shall be submitted in original form on clear and legible
copies. Prints with white lines and dark background are not acceptable. Maximum drawing
size shall be 24” x 36” unless approved by COMPANY. Preferred sizes for final
documentation are 8 1/2" x 11" or 11" x 17". Electronic copies are required.
4. CONTRACTOR shall furnish all requested documentation in proper form and quantity in
accordance with the specified requirements. Each documentation item must be properly
identified by name of manufacturer, purchase order number, project identification, plant
name and location, complete equipment name, and tag number located on the cover sheet
or first page of said documentation item or, in the case of drawings, on each drawing.
5. All documentation transmitted must specify its intended use such as “for approval”, “for
fabrication”, “for construction”, “as-built drawings”, “certified prints”, “spare parts list”, type of
manual, etc.
6. CONTRACTOR shall furnish final documentation as printed matter on 8 1/2” x 11” or 11” x
17” size. Where original drawings must be reduced in size to meet these requirements, a
full-size, certified, reproducible transparency of each drawing shall be supplied in addition to
the reduced-size copy.
7. Documentation or drawings “for approval” shall be accurate. Preliminary documentation
is not acceptable. Any part of work subject to approval must have a signed release, dated
and issued, before any fabrication begins.
8. Final CONTRACTOR documentation must be accompanied by the CONTRACTOR
Documentation Receipt Form.
