1. WHAT DO YOU LIKE DOING IN YOUR FREE TIME?

Well, in my free time I like to relax watching tv at home, sometimes

when I have time, I go out with my family. We usually go out to a
restaurant and we eat together or if I have an exam, I stay at home
and I study.

I fancy going out with my family at the weekends, in fact, if I had more
time I would go out everyday.

2. HOW CAN ONE TRAVEL AROUND YOUR COUNTRY?

Well, I live in Spain and in Spain you can travel in different ways.

For instance, you can travel by bus or you can travel by plane and
you can even travel by train. I reckon that the best way to travel
around my country is by plane due to the fact that it’s quick and it’s
not very expensive, but it depends on where you are going. For
instance, if you are going to a nearby city, you can travel by bus or
you can travel by train.

3. WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE TODAY?

Well, today the weather is sunny despite being autumn. Yesterday it

was cold, but today it’s very hot. Personally I fancy sunny weather
because when it’s sunny I can go sunbathing with my family. In fact,
if I had time, I would go to the beach now, to enjoy the weather.

1. CAN YOU DESCRIBE THE PICTURE?

In this picture, I can see a father and a child. Perhaps, the child is his
son. They are playing in the park, due to the fact that I can see some
grass and some tress. They are spending time together playing
football. The seem very happy, I suppose they are having fun.
Personally, when I was young, I used to play with my father in the
park too and we used to have a lot of fun (Nosotros solíamos pasarlo
muy bien).

2. IS IT IMPORTANT FOR PARENTS TO SPEND TIME WITH

THEIR CHILDREN? WHY?

Of course. I reckon that it’s crucial for parents to spend time with their
children because for different reasons; on the one hand, parents can
teach the children different things, on the other hand, parents can give
the children a hand with different things, for instance, if a child is in
trouble, his or her parents can give the child a hand. Personally, If I
could I would spend more time with my children and I would play
football with them, I think it’s very important for parents to spend time
with their children.

3. Do you spend time with your parents?

Well, This is an interesting question, as far as I am concerned, I don’t

spend a lot of time with my parents due to several reasons.

On the one hand, I don’t have a lot of time because I have to study
and I usually have a lot of exams and so I really don’t have a lot of
time to spend with my parents.

On the other hand, my parents have to work and they don’t have time,
However when I can I usually eat with my family, we eat together and
we speak about different things; we speak about my studies we speak
about my parents’ job.

If I could I would spend more time with my family.

1. CAN YOU COMPARE THE TWO PICTURES?

Well, in both pictures I can see places where people live. In the first
picture I can see a big city, perhaps it’s a city in Europe or could be a
city in United States, whereas in the second picture I can see a very
small village somewhere in the mountains in a very natural place. In
the first picture the city looks beautiful I suppose a lot of people live
there, on the contrary the village in the second picture is small I
suppose that a few people live in this place. Personally if I could live
in one of this places I would live in the second picture due to the fact
that I fancy the mountains and to do outdoor sports.

2. WHICH OF THE TWO PLACES WOULD YOU PREFER TO

LIVE IN AND WHY?

Well, as far as I am concerned, If I had to choose one place, I would

choose the first picture, the city and due to (debido a) several reasons:
on the one hand I can meet a lot of people in the city as we know
there are a lot of people in a big city, so I can meet people from
different countries, I can make friends, also it’s very easy to find a job
because there are more companies in a big city. Apart from that, in a
big city there are more places to have fun. I don’t fancy living in the
countryside because I think it’s very boring.

3. WHAT SORT OF PEOPLE LIVE IN EACH OF THESE

PLACES? WHY?

I reckon that people who are young would live in the first picture, in
the city, due to the fact that in the city they can make a lot of friends,
they can meet different people and in addition they can go to
university or they can go to college because in the village there aren’t
universities. On the other hand I think people who are retired would
live in the second place, in the village, because it’s calm it’s quite and
of course retired people don’t need to work, they don’t need to live in
a big city also people who has families I think would live in the big city,
in the first place because their children need to go to school, the
parents need to look for a job; and as we know there are any jobs in
the village.

Well, as far as I am concerned, outdoor activities are better much

much better than indoor activities due to several reasons. To begin
with when people do outdoor activities, they have the opportunity to
breath fresh air they disconnect better from the school work, from
homework, they disconnect from work in the case of people who work.
I think that spending sometimes outdoors in a park, on the street,
anywhere outdoors is really very good for your health because it’s
help to disconnect from your work, your family life; they make you feel
free.
When children do outdoor activities, they have more chances of
making new friends because they meet other children and they play
together. Indoor activities such as for instance playing computer
games don’t really help children make new friends. In fact, I think that
it’s very important for children to socialize and one of the best way to
socialize is doing outdoor activities and making friends. In fact, I think
that if children spend more time outdoors, they would be healthier,
they would make more friends, they would be happier, in conclusion
I really believe that outdoor activities are much much better than
indoor activities.

When I was young, I used to do a lot of activities, first of all, I used to

play football and basketball with my friends. I used to ride my
mountain bike with my father on weekends.

Well, of course, when I was young, I was over the moon every time I
did sports especially outdoors, I remember when I was young I really
used to love going out, going to the park, walking on the street; I really
used to love that due to the fact that it made me feel free and so I was
over the moon every time I had to go outdoors, go camping and do
things outdoor.

1.What did you do last night?

Last night I had dinner at 8 o clock and I watched some tv and went to
bed. I keen on watching tv because it relaxes me and makes me feel

As far as I am concerned, my favourite film star is Will Smith; I reckon he

is a very kind man and a very good actor and he is funny too. In fact, if I
could I would really to meet him.

3.Please describe the place where you live.

I live in a small town in Spain, which is very beautiful. I love living here
although it’s a small village, it’s very nice and the people are wonderful.

4.Please tell me about a famous place in your country.

Well, a famous place in Spain is the Alhambra which is a monument in

Granada. Personally, I have never visited this monument but I would like
to do it in the future. As far as I am concerned Granada is a very beautiful
city I’m sure that many people love visiting it.

5.Please tell me about the best way to travel around your country

I reckon that the best way to travel in Spain is probably by train if you are
going to travel a long distance but if you travel a short distance, I think the
best way to travel is a car

6.Please describe your journey here today.

My journey here today was very nice, although I was nervous due to the
fact that the exam I was going to do, I came here by car I drove myself
here.

7.Do you have a large family?

Well, not, I haven’t a large family. I have a sister. She is 30 years old and
her name is Marina. I reckon if my parents had more money they would
have more children.

8.How do you relax in the evening?

I usually go for a walk in a park which is near of my house to relax if I

have don’t have time then I listen to music while I having dinner. I love
listening music.

My favourite singer is Michael Jackson. I really love Michael Jackson’s

songs; I reckon they are very interesting and entertainment songs. I
usually listen to Michael Jackson songs when I have a party or when I fell
happy. I love them.

My favourite film is Back to the future, I have watched a lot of times and
my family and I usually watched every now and then (de vez en cuando)
when we are together. It’s a very exciting film.

3.Please describe your typical day.

Well, my typical day is a long day. I get up very early in the morning,
about 6 o’clock, I get my children ready for school, we have breakfast
together, a light very small breakfast. When I come back home, I prepare
myself for work. Sometimes I work from home sometimes I go to the
office.

4.What sports do people like in your country?

People in Spain are really into football (to be into + something. Me gusta
mucho + algo). They are watching football all the time. Personally I am
not keen on football. I prefer other sports like Tennis or Cycling.

5.Please tell me about your friends.

Well, I have a lot of friends. But my best friend’s name is Pablo, he is a

very nice man, he always give me a hand when I have problems. I think
friends are very important in a person life. I think that my friends are good
friends, I really love them.

6.Please tell me about your first school.

Well, my first school was a little school in a village. I used to live in a small
village when I was a child. It was a little school but it was really nice and I
had a lot of friends. The teacher were fantastic and I was delighted to
study there.

7.Please tell me about the last time you visited friends.

Well, the last time I visited friends was last week. I went to celebrate the
birthday of my best friend. I usually see my friends about every two
weeks. If I had more time, I would see them more often.

8.What are you wearing today?

Well, today I am wearing a blue jeans and black t-shirt. I am wearing

casual clothes today which I like doing when I want to feel comfortable. I
fancy my style and If I had more money, I would be shopping for clothes
all day.
