A comienzos del siglo XX (1924) naci en

Eibar, cuna de la cartuchera y armera
espaola, el cartucho GB.

The GB cartridge has its origin at the

beginning of the XX century (1924) in
Eibar, birthplace of Spanish ammunition.

Como consecuencia del xito empresarial

de la marca GB, la compaa hubo
de ampliar sus instalaciones para lo cual
se traslad a Vitoria en 1966 donde
permaneci desarrollando su actividad
hasta 1982.

As a consequence of its success, it had to

expand its factories and moved in 1966
to Vitoria where the company remained
until 1982.

Superada la etapa ms difcil de la

cartuchera, en 1984 se cre la nueva
sociedad Cartuchos GB, S.A., empresa
que sigue, en la actualidad, fabricando y
comercializando los cartuchos marca GB.
Desde dicha fecha, el crecimiento de
Cartuchos GB, ha sido notable, tanto en
Espaa como en el exterior, ocupando una
importante cuota en ambos mercados.
Los Cartuchos GB han sido cargados
y comprobados electrnicamente,
utilizando la maquinaria tecnolgicamente
ms avanzada, de acuerdo con las
normas internacionales dictadas por la
Commission International Permanente
pour lEpreuve des Armes Feu Portatives
(C.I.P.), lo que garantiza la calidad y
seguridad de los mismos.

de caza o tiro de competicin.

Once the ammunition industry overcame

its most difficult stage in 1984, a new firm
was established: Cartuchos GB, S.A.
Today, this company continues to
manufacture and market cartridges under
the GB brand.
Since then, Cartuchos GB, has
experienced sustained growth both in
Spain and abroad, reaching an important
share on both markets.
GB cartridges are loaded and tested
using the most advanced technology,
according to the international Commission
International Permanente pour lEpreuve
des Armes Feu Portatives (C.I.P.)
standards. This fact guarantees the quality
and safety of all our products.

Los cartuchos GB estn fabricados a partir de componentes

seleccionados de alta calidad:

GB cartridges are made from high quality components:

VAINA: fabricada en mquinas cinemticas continuas que

aseguran su calidad y regularidad.

CASE: assembled in automatic machines which ensures

constant high quality.

TUBO: fabricado con polietileno de alta densidad sometido a un

proceso de biorientacin con el fin de mejorar sus caractersticas
y resistencia mecnica.

PLASTIC TUBE: manufactured from high density polyethylene

which goes through a bidirectional process in order to
provide excellent features and resistance.

TACO BASE: fabricado por inyeccin de material termoplstico

para lograr un perfecto ensamblado entre tubo y culote.

BASE WAD: made by injection moulding to achieve a

perfect assembling between tube and brass base.

CULOTE: recibe un recubrimiento electroqumico con latn, a fin

de dotarlo de un perfecto acabado y de una alta resistencia a la
corrosin.

BRASS BASE: produced from a brass-coated steel strip

later treated to produce a perfect finish and a high
resistance to corrosion.

PISTN: elemento iniciador del cartucho y constituido de tres

piezas metlicas que contienen en su interior la pasta explosiva
que inicia la plvora.

PRIMER: The task of the primer is to ignite the cartridge.

It consists of three metal parts that contains the explosive
paste that ignite the powder.

PLVORA: utilizamos principalmente la plvora de simple base.

Esta plvora ha sido diseada para mantener prcticamente
constantes sus caractersticas balsticas frente a importantes
variaciones de temperatura y humedad.

POWDER: we mainly use the simple base powder.

This powder has been specially designed to obtain near
constant results even in the face of important variations
in temperature and humidity.

TACO CONTENEDOR: fabricado por inyeccin de plstico a

partir de polietileno permite obtener un perfecto plomeo y un
confortable retroceso.

CONTAINER WAD: performed by injection moulding

of polyethylene provides an excellent pattern and a
comfortable recoil.

PERDIGN: fabricados en plomo y acero, han sido sometidos

a un exhaustivo control de calidad donde se determinan sus
caractersticas dimensionales, esfericidad y dureza.

SHOT: made from lead or steel. They are subjected to

thorough quality control in order to determine its toughness
and roundness.

Competicin
Los cartuchos para tiro al plato han sido
diseados con el fin de proporcionar al
tirador un producto fiable y regular en
cualquier disciplina de tiro.
Un pistn tipo G extremadamente
regular, inicia la excelente plvora
de Simple Base CSB, que se quema
progresivamente sin humo ni residuo
alguno, y que confiere a los perdigones
la energa necesaria para pulverizar el
plato a la distancia de interceptacin
prevista por el tirador.

Competition
Clay shooting cartridges have been
designed in order to provide shooters a
reliable product for any shooting variety.
An extremely regular primer, type G,
is used as an igniter of our excellent
smokeless simple base CSB powder that
burns progressively without any residue.
This provides the shots the appropriate
energy in order to smash the clay at any
distance.

La lnea de cartuchos de caza tradicionales de
Cartuchos GB, son productos que van desde los 30
gr. hasta los 36 gr., adecuados para cazar desde
pequeas aves migratorias a perdices o ansares.
Utilizando los mejores componentes del mercado,
Cartuchos GB, ha preparado su lnea bsica de
Cartuchos de Caza, buscando el mximo rendimiento
de la municin. Por ello, partimos de un pistn G
que inicia la plvora adecuada y regularmente, un
excelente y progresivo propulsante sin humo CSB, unos
tacos contenedores dotados de pilares de unin que
transmiten la energa de los gases a los perdigones y
los dotan de una elevada velocidad a largas distancias,
capaz de abatir con total seguridad a las piezas.
Todo ello con un suave retroceso, que permite excelentes
segundos tiros con alta precisin, y comodidad para el
cazador.

Game
The traditional GB hunting cartridges from 30 to 36 g.
are appropriate for hunting migrant birds as well as
partridges or ducks.
Using the best market components, Cartuchos GB, has
designed a basic hunting cartridge looking for the
ammunitions best performance. In that way, we use
the G primer to ignite the powder in a proper way, an
excellent and progressive smokeless CSB propellent,
container wads with joining columns that transfer the
gases energy to shots and give them high velocities at
long distances so you are able to hit your target.
Also, they provide very low recoils that allow excellent
second shots with high accuracy and comfort for the hunter.

original Brenneke y el cartucho Slug.
Ambos proyectiles tienen unas extraordinarias caractersticas
balsticas en s mismas, que se ven realzadas con el diseo
de carga para Cartuchos GB
La indudable calidad y precisin del proyectil original
Brenneke, unido a la propulsin recibida de la plvora sin
humo CSB-3, lo convierten en un cartucho imprescindible
en la caza mayor con escopeta por su excelente alcance y
poder de parada.
Cartuchos GB fabrica postas dispuestas en camas de 3x3,

Big Game
We offer two types of cartridges with bullet type projectiles:
one is loaded with the Original Brenneke and the other a
slug round.
Both projectiles possess exceptional ballistic characteristics
which are enhanced by the load design of Cartuchos GB.
The quality and precision of the Original Brenneke projectile
united with the propulsion of the CSB-3 smokeless powder
makes this cartridge stand out in big game hunting due to its
excellent range and stopping power.
Cartuchos GB produces buck shot in 3x3, 3x4, 4x4 and
3x7 payloads with outstanding range and precision.

Acero
Para reas en las que existen
restricciones al uso de perdign de
plomo, Cartuchos GB, ha diseado
cuatro cartuchos con perdign de acero
autorizados para la caza y el tiro. Se
han cuidado sus caractersticas balsticas
para obtener el mximo rendimiento
con este tipo de perdign logrando la
mayor semejanza al comportamiento
tradicional.

Steel
For areas where restrictions are in place
against the use of lead shot, Cartuchos
GB has designed four steel shot
cartridges authorized for hunting and
shooting. The ballistic characteristics of
these cartridges are fine tuned to obtain
maximum performance thus making
them very close to that of traditional lead
pellets.
