Instrucciones FORD RANGER

1.

Localiza los dos enchufes necesarios para realizar la prueba en tu Ranger. Estos estn
en el compartimiento del motor, cerca del guardabarros, en el lado del conductor,
detrs de la caja del filtro de aire. Uno se denomina tapn de auto-prueba (STP por sus
siglas en ingls) y es de forma triangular con seis pines. El otro tapn tiene una
etiqueta que que dice entrada de auto-prueba (ITS, tambin por sus siglas en ingls).
Este tapn es un enchufe pequeo, de una sola clavija. Estos tapones tambin pueden
ser llamados "EEC TEST."

2.

Conecta un cable desde la terminal negativa de la batera al STI. Conecta a tierra el STI,
enganchando otra pieza de metal. Lleva la batera tambin a tierra, enganchando otro
cable al parachoques.

3.

Gira la llave de la camioneta para encender el vehculo completamente. Escuchars la


bomba de combustible. Cuando la bomba de combustible deje de cebar el sistema, ser
necesario empezar a contar.

4.

Mira la luz de verificacin del motor. Empezar a parpadear varias veces y luego se
detendr. Esto es una advertencia de que la prueba est comenzando. Un cdigo
parpadear y luego habr una pausa de dos segundos, lo que indica que se est
moviendo al siguiente nmero de cdigo. Una vez que el cdigo est terminado, se har
una pausa de cuatro segundos. Si se te pasa un nmero, gira la llave a la posicin
"Apagado", espera 15 segundos y vuelve a "Encendido". Esto reiniciar la secuencia. Es
posible que tengas que pasar por la prueba varias veces hasta que obtengas todos los
nmeros del cdigo.

5.

Escribe cada uno de estos nmeros.

6.

Consulta un manual de reparacin o serviciode de tu camioneta Ford Ranger 1993 o


utiliza un recurso en lnea, como FordFuelInjection.com, para determinar lo que
significan los cdigos. Ten en cuenta que hay listas diferentes para dos y tres cdigos
numricos.
