🔺13 𝐀𝐈 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫: 🔹The amount of scientific and technological progress, disruption, positive and negative chaos that is coming. 🔹The potential for good and evil of AI Agents, the fact that we don't need more intelligence than current systems have to orchestrate agents, and that the next few years will be clearly marked by the rise of billions of actions that we have no control of 🔹The fact that these systems are already better than most humans at most things, and even in the things they are not great, they still surpass most humans anyway. Why? 🔹AI systems know more about medicine, math, chemistry, physics, code, languages, management, history, entrepreneurship or psychology than most people. 🔹1st, because most people know almost 0 about these things. 🔹2nd, because in most benchmarks these tools are surpassing expert level, and sometimes, crushing results at current level of intelligence on top competitions with human top performers and world champions. 🔹3rd, there are thousands of AI papers per month, even if most sucked, some contain breakthroughs. Time from scientific or technological advancement and deployment in B2B, and B2C, to massive adoption, is shrinking dramatically. 🔹Even if all research in the world stopped today, only the applications of existing systems, integration with some of the existing technologies, or leverage of past discoveries, would cause a tremendous effect on society 🔹AI is and will continue to be dual use, and its implications will be positive and negative, (they already are). If you are only seeing it with optimism, you are lacking a part of the picture. If you don't see the bright side, you are also biased. 🔹AI is already causing a massive and unprecedented loss of privacy, most people are not aware, others are concerned but can't do much about it, some are pushing back. Good luck, I think the era in which a person could have a private life separate from a public one is over, and now we have to accept that everything we have ever done, said or even thought of, is or may be soon in the hands of others, and that it can be used to influence us, or harm us. 🔹The positive side of personalization and convenience may be worth it, I am not sure, but the amount of information that multiple parties (hundreds of them) have of us is not only alarming, but irreversible in my estimation 🔹Governments are becoming increasingly authoritarian. I see democracies moving towards surveillance, censorship (legal, political, ideological and cultural). 🔹AI Implications in National Security and Geopolitical Equilibrium 🔹AI implications in cybersecurity, AI agents for self red teaming, and preparation for an explosion of adversarial intelligence deployed against our systems 🔹Likely destiny of nationalization or deep integration of AI labs and governments

A couple of points: 🔸Embodied AI, AI Agents, Agent orchestration and Augmented organizations with agent swarms that bridge the real and physical world will easily - 100x the output / cut in half the cost - of almost any organization, department of function 🔸I have already seen several cases of hundreds of millions of dollars in savings / revenue growth just by effectively integrating information and deploying with Gen AI models through sales, operations, customer service, marketig and finance. And that is a fraction of what is possible if we add Digital Twins and Simulations to the equation. We are likely to discover a huge number of inefficiencies in our systems, companies and, yes, governments. It is not clear how leaders of public and private organizations will react to this, but it is not possible to unsee what you see when you see it. And people are going to see more clearly than ever. For good and bad. 🔸I am looking forward to sharing part of our work at Improve X AI, where we provide short company-wide AI leverage and risk mitigation interventions through a mix of personalized upskilling and practical advisory. 🔸If time allows, I will share part of our Layoff minimization framework, to minimize the negative effects of AI Adoption in employment, our Tech Leverage and Anticipatory Regulation Model for AI and disruptive technologies, to reduce the gap between the available technology and the one that we use to create growth while effectively foreseeing some of the short and mid term risks that are likely to emerge in the near future following existing research and current trajectories. 🔺The Education we need for a disrupting world 🔹Thank you Lagos! It was a true privilege to meet such entrepreneurial and hard working group of professionals, so advanced in AI leverage, and so eager to master new technologies to create economic prosperity AI can become one of the greatest economic enablers by democratising access to a generative power that until now was only available to a few. With Gen AI tools, automation, e-commerce and digital marketing, a single individual can do the work of 10s or even 100s of people, to launch or expand any type of business or social venture. We are limited, though, by our ability to leverage existing and forthcoming technological tools at our disposal, by our restrained perception of what can be done, our biases, preconceptions, and narratives around our identity, our situation or what we can achieve. Thank you to IE Business School IE University Joseph Sfeir Onyekachi Eke, and all the participants for making time to grow together. Nigeria was the second step in our Africa AI for Growth tour, that first led us to Ghana, and also included Ivory Coast and Senegal. For me, this is one more small action part of our overarching Skills for Growth and AI for Humanity initiatives, where we, at World Innovation Alliance - Improve X in partnership with some of the worlds most influential and impact oriented organizations globally like Ie, are working to provide practical skills and valuable resources to create economic growth, leveraging AI for good and preventing negative effects of the multi crisis and and potential risks of emerging technologies. 𝗚𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮, 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗜𝘃𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 and 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 AI for Business and Career Growth West Africa Tour with IE University and Business School I just arrived in Accra for our first day. I already had over 180 slides for these days, and after a day flying, between some new info (please just check "Autogen" and the paper "Communicative Agents for Software Development") and after writing over 40 pages of ideas, I officially need 200 more slides to share what is going on in the AI world, what I think it can be done with it, and what some of the implications may be. Some may be thinking "Less is more". And to that, I say: Sure, process 4000 monthly new AI papers, the craziness of announcement after announcement from Microsoft, Google, Nvidia, Meta, Runway, Midjourney, Canva, and the others, and apply it to different industries, departments, roles and problems, understand potential risks, implications and ethical considerations, determine the best possible solutions to all problems that may exist around it, and do that in 10 simple slides with no text. To anyone reading: I really hope you learn as much as you can about this. There are plenty of newsletters, content creators, opinion leaders, tutorials, repositories, prompts libraries, free and paid courses, and official pages from the usual suspects that can be extremely valuable. The main key, in my estimation, is to be extremely clear and ambitious about your greatest societal, professional and personal aspirations may be, so you can identify what you would use these increasingly powerful tools for, and gradually leverage them as they become available. We should understand that AI´s greatest virtues, its risks, and worst negative implications, can and probably will affect your life dramatically, and you might as well make the most out of it and use it for the greater good. These days I will be a bit more tactical around specific use cases that can multiply your ability to create economic growth for companies and individuals. And since we are talking about it, and I am not posting that much lately, I want to reiterate: 1) Ai is actually a huge deal 2) A lot of people will lose their jobs, and even if we create new ones, a social pain transition period that we don´t have good solutions for is very likely 3) Massive reskilling and upskilling, and entrepreneurship are vital, 4) It is here to stay, it will only get more capable, there is no turning back, and we need to embrace it and try to mitigate its negative effects. Banning or watermarks are probably not going to work (New research shows how all watermark systems and detectors continue to fail). 5) It is a huge opportunity democratizer for individuals and small businesses, even in developing countries, as long as there is some level of access to devices and models.
