😃 We are still excited by the warm reception we have received from the public at ALCOVA during Milan Design Week. 🇬🇭 We have introduced our new collections: Frafra Tapestry + PET Lamp Gurunsi, which represent the connection that the artisans of Baba Tree Basket Company have with their culture, their social organization, their architecture, and their tradition of weaving with natural fibers. We are deeply grateful to our community, as without them, none of this would be possible! 🔝 We also appreciate the interest of all the journalists in spreading the word about our project and our mission. Sobre nosotros
PET Lamp is a project that mixes the reuse of PET plastic bottles with selected traditional weaving techniques from different corners of the world in order to create unique handmade lampshades. Mission Our mission is to make an attractive, desirable and contemporary object by taking care of a global problem as the plastic waste with local action as the use of traditional weaving techniques. Our lamps are intended to be mass produced objects with the harmonic combination of industrial production and artisanal techniques, resulting in a serial production of unique pieces. Values Sustainability: We react to a global problem as plastic waste and increase awareness by reusing PET plastic bottles and employing 100% recyclable materials. Collaboration and humanity: We have a respectful attitude towards the artisans talent and traditional handcrafts with the aim of preserving them throughout time. Ethics and transparency: We are being honest with all our stakeholders and specially with the artisans and local collaborators by carrying out fair trade practices. Creativity and innovation: We are continuously investigating new methods of production and fusion between the original artisanal and the industrial techniques. Quality and product customization: All our individual lamps and multiple installations include a wide range of custom-made components exclusively produced for us that enhance their unique personality. Service excellence: Having a permanent stock allows us to guarantee a fast and personalized customer service which takes care of all details, from making a customized selection of lamps for each client to adapting each packaging to the product characteristics and necessities.

Dive into island life with this stunning renovation one of Menorca’s oldest fisherman’s house! 🎣🤿🏝️ Just like PET Lamp breathes new life into each signature PET bottle, this project revitalized a charming fisherman’s cottage into a delightful retreat nestled in the Spanish cove. 🐚 Each PET Lamp set captures the essence of unique weaving traditions, and similarly, every renovation project tells a captivating story. The interior designer expertly integrated an Eperara Siapidara set, offering a striking contrast against the pristine white brick interior. The Eperara Siapidara collection is a collaboration with the indigenous Eperara Siapidara people from Colombia. The lamps are handcrafted from the signature upcycled PET bottles and natural paja tetera fibers, which are dyed, cut, and woven on wooden molds. The vibrant colors and patterns reflect the deep connection between the community’s traditions and raw materials. 🌈🌱💡 Ready to give your home a new lease on life? Introducing the PET Lamp Gurunsi Oval! We are thrilled to announce the launch of the third model in the PET Lamp Gurunsi series: the stunning PET Lamp Gurunsi Oval! Thought for curating an inviting and more intimate atmosphere, this new design complements its "bigger siblings," the PET Lamp Gurunsi Linear and Round, which light up grand spaces like hotel lobbies and restaurants. Sophisticated Flat-Weave Ceiling Lamp with 5-Point Illumination, Inspired by the Ancestral Architecture of Northern Ghana This collection embodies our philosophy of blending sophisticated design with social responsibility and cultural anthropology. Highlighting the Gurunsi culture, an indigenous ethnic group from northern Ghana, we established close ties through our Bolgatanga (2019) collection. Reimagining the exact architectural blueprints of the traditional adobe and wood FraFra housing structures by weaving locally-sourced elephant grass into a massive mat and pendant lighting, the PET Lamp Gurunsi transforms living heritage into textile art. Each lamp invites one to marvel at the blend of traditional architecture, intricate craftsmanship, and artistic weaving. Illuminate your space with the cultural elegance and timeless beauty of the PET Lamp Gurunsi Oval. #PETLamp #Design #Sustainability #Illumination #Artisan #Handcrafted #Lamp #ProductDesign #InteriorDesign #TraditionalCraftsmanship #GurunsiOval #CulturalElegance #HomeDecor #ArtisanalDesign #CulturalAnthropology

#ecologia #design #sustainability #CDD #torino
