      Introduction

      Today, April 7, 2018, I wanted to write about my life experiences, which surely are and will be similar to the experiences of many other human beings, like me, who wanted and would want to dedicate their lives to something wonderful, their vocation to which, individually, they feel called to.

      Filling their lives with love and kindness in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the service to others.

      I, too, in my thought consider many thousands of human beings who, like me, have had to live and will continue living the terror and madness to which they have been forced to.

      Thousands of men, human beings, just like me, have had and will continue to have painful and tragic end.

      For all of us who have followed God’s call to priesthood, it is and will continue being like standing on the edge of a steep cliff to which bottom we must fall because there is no such a thing as returning, and the fall is unavoidable: celibacy.

      Chapter One

      The Gospels

      As women and men of faith, born in it and grown in it, we have to behave by the gospels, the letters written by the apostles, and even by the book of Revelations to see what Christ wants to teach us.

      Let’s see Matthew’s gospel 1:1–17:

      The genealogy (list of ancestors of our Lord Jesus Christ) is shown to us here. That is just wonderful!

      1. This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

      2. Abraham begat Isaac: and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judah and his brethren:

      3. And Judah was the father of Phares and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar, and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

      4. And Aram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon:

      5. And Salmon begat Boaz, whose mother was Rachâb, and Booz begat Obed from Ruth and Obed begat Jesse;

      6. And Jesse begat King David; and King David begat Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah’s wife;

      7. And Solomon begat Rehoboam; and Rehoboam begat Abia, and Abia begat Asa;

      8. And Asa begat Jehoshaphat; and Jehoshaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;

      9. And Ozias begat Jotham; and Jotham begat Ahaz who begat Hezekiah;

      10. And Hezekiah begat Manasseh; and Manasseh begat Amon; and Amon begat Josiah;

      11. And Josiah begat Jeconiah and his brethren, at the time of the exile to Babylon.

      12. And after the exile to Babylon, Jeconiah begat Shealtiel, Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel, and

      13. Zerubbabel begat Abihud; and Abihud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;

      14. And Azor begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Akim; Achîm begat Elihud;

      15. And Elihud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;

      16. And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ.

      17. Thus there were fourteen generations in from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.

      Now Matthew’s gospel 1:18–25 tells us the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ:

      18. This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.

      19. And Joseph her husband, being a just man, did not want to expose her to public disgrace.

      20. And after considered on these things, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, and said, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

      21. And she will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name JESUS because he will save his people from their sins.

      22. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord fulfilled had said through the prophet:

      23. The virgin will conceive and she will give birth to a son, and his name will be Immanuel, which means God with us.

      24. When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary as his wife.

      25. And he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son: and he called him JESUS.

      How did the body of our Lord Jesus Christ form in the womb of Virgin Mary?

      By the power of the Holy Spirit, without the intervention of man, in this case, Joseph.

      Matthew’s gospel 1:19 tells us that Joseph,
