WVU Employee Benefits Open Enrollment begins April 2, which is the only time employees can make changes to some benefits without a qualifying life event.

  • University Police shares severe weather preparedness tips

    The National Weather Service recognizes March 24-28 as Spring Severe Weather Awareness Week, and the University Police Department’s Emergency Management team is sharing the following information so you can be as prepared as possible.

  • Dependent Education Scholarship summer deadline approaching

    The Division of Talent and Culture reminds employees with dependents interested in the 2025-26 academic year scholarship to apply regardless of being previously awarded, as a new application is required each academic year. Summer applications are due by April 1. Fall applications are due by June 1.

  • Encourage students to attend Mindfulness 101

    Certified mindfulness instructors from the Carruth Center will teach students how to better manage stress and anxiety from 9:30-10:45 a.m. each Monday in April at Maple House.

  • Campus community encouraged to attend public forums during HLC accreditation visit

    The Higher Learning Commission will be on the Morgantown Campus for its 10-year reaffirmation of accreditation site visit on Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1.

  • Challenges set to amplify support on WVU Day of Giving

    Participants in Wednesday’s (March 26) WVU Day of Giving will have multiple opportunities to boost the overall impact of their gifts through hourly and all-day challenges. The 24-hour fundraising event, organized by the WVU Foundation, is in its eighth year, encompassing the entire WVU System and raising more than $96 million since 2017.

  • ADVANCE Center writing group provides support, accountability

    Faculty and graduate students looking to boost their productivity and connect with a community of writers are invited to attend the ADVANCE Center weekly writing accountability group from noon to 2 p.m. every Wednesday in Field Hall, Room 2202 or on Zoom.

  • Human Rights Film Series kicks off with ‘A Road to Home’

    On April 2, the LGBTQ+ Center will host a screening of the award-winning film “A Road to Home,” which tracks the lives of six homeless LGBTQ+ youth in New York City over an 18-month period.

  • WVU community invited to attend Focus Forward

    Faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to join more than 400 state and regional leaders at Focus Forward: Long Live West Virginia on April 22 at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place. The statewide conference will take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., followed by a special reception from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to celebrate the legacy of President Gordon Gee.

  • Reserve your seat for children’s science show

    The Physics and Astronomy Graduate Student Organization and the Department of Physics and Astronomy will host “The Magic of Physics Children’s Science Show” at 6 p.m. April 25 in White Hall, Room B51.

  • Register for Employee Financial Wellness Webinar ‘Considering Home Ownership’

    WVU Benefits Strategy invites employees to join PNC financial experts as they discuss what to expect when applying for a mortgage, what home ownership really costs and more from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday (March 26).
