Tripe palm or palmar acanthosis nigricans is a condition in which there is a velvety, rugose thickening of palm, occasionally soles with an enhanced dermatoglyphic pattern resembling 'tripe' (the villous lining of ruminant stomach).1 It is associated with neoplasia in about 90% of cases; it may be the only paraneoplastic manifestation in 30-40% of cases.2 It may coexist with malignant acanthosis nigricans or sign of Leser-Trelat.2
