[21] Experimental Standard Frequency Broadcast on 60 Kilocycles, Nat.
In May of 1923, just one month after its first broadcast, the station was required to change its broadcast frequency to 1,060 kilocycles. In December of 1924, the station was moved to 1,150 kilocycles; in June of 1927, the station was required to move to 1,000 kilocycles and in 1928, the station was required to move to 1,230 kilocycles ("History," 1933; Frost, 1937).
Not to be picky, but I wish to point out that the antenna on the corvette HMCS Shawinigan (misidentified in the photo caption on page 46) was for Medium Frequency Direction Finding (MF/DF) by using, in particular, the Marconi MDF5 receiver which had a frequency range of 265 to 670 kilocycles. All Canadian corvettes should have possessed an MF/DF receiver and the loop antenna was forward of or on top of the bridge.
