INDIA, May 22 -- Indian Space Research Agency (ISRO) has successfully launched RISAT-2B (
Radar Imaging Satellite-2B), a
radar imaging earth observation satellite that can take high resolution images of the earth during day and night, and also under cloudy conditions with the help of a synthetic aperture radar.
Summary: Sriharikota (Andhra Pradesh) [India], May 22 (ANI): A Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle has successfully injected a
radar imaging earth observation satellite into the lower earth orbit, said Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Wednesday.
Xing, C.-W Qiu et al., "Resolution enhancement for inversed synthetic aperture
radar imaging under low SNR via improved compressive sensing," IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, vol.
Editors Berizzi, Martorella, and Giusti present readers with a collection of research and professional perspectives on the latest results in
radar imaging for maritime observation.
NISAR's
radar imaging satellite uses dual L-Band and S-Band frequencies, providing a detailed view of Earth.
Also addressed will be advanced ways of dealing with radar images, such as sensor fusion, cognitive radar and state-of-the-art
radar imaging systems and this illustrates the broad set of possible applications to enhance your security systems.

This award complements a USD2 million, 15-month contract to build and deliver a supercomputer for wide-area
radar imaging and moving target tracking, a USD10 million four-year contract to KEYW and its teammates for the Contested Environment RF Exploitation and Research (CERFER) program, and a USD4 million program for SAR data compression.
The contract worth e1/45.33 mln is valid for a 13-year period and the contractor is required to install, operate and maintain two meteorological radars near Larnaca and Paphos airports, and support with near real-time,
radar imaging, and other information, the forecasting unit of the Meteorological Service.
propose a novel method for the focusing of raw data in
radar imaging. Signal sampling and reconstruction based on CS is introduced as an alternative option to traditional matched filtering.
