ACF has been building pressure for these reforms by exposing the failings of laws supposed to protect the Murray and
Darling Rivers, threats to clear threatened species habitat at Kingvale on Cape York with federal government approval (as Andrew Picone reports on p.28) and some seriously dodgy dealings at Toondah Harbour involving political donations and housing developments in wetlands protected by international agreements.
