Chadecja
originally, the colloquial name for the organizations of the clergy and petite bourgeoisie that emerged in the beginning of the 20th century in the Polish lands under German rule, in the Kingdom of Poland, and in Galicia. The name was later applied to the Christian Democratic Party of Poland, which was formed in 1919 through the merger of these organizations.
