Biological Artificial Earth Satellite

an artificial earth satellite designed for medicobiological experiments that are connected with space flights. These satellites (for example, Kosmos 110) carry on board experimental animals and such organisms as plants and bacteria. In a number of instances medicobiological experiments have been conducted on satellites that had a different basic purpose; for example, on Soviet space satellites that were orbited in preparation for the first manned space flights.
