Borrowed from Persian چماق (čomâq), from Ottoman Turkish چوماق (çomak), from Proto-Turkic *čokmak (“mace, club, cudgel”)

cokmar (Jawi spelling چوقمر, plural cokmar-cokmar, informal 1st possessive cokmarku, 2nd possessive cokmarmu, 3rd possessive cokmarnya)

   1. a heavy fighting club.
   2. a ceremonial form of this weapon.
