- salmon, lax/lox
- longissimus dorsi (core muscle, long back extensor muscle) of the back of slaughtered animals, especially pigs (Schweinelachs or Lachsfleisch), calves (Kalbslachs), and lambs (Lammlachs); part of the rib or chop cuts.
