Positioned about 25km west of Figueres While there is a bus, Besalú is best accessed by car via the N-260 and exiting off on C-66.

Get around

[edit]

The old section of town is closed off to non-resident cars, so you will need to walk. While the cobblestone streets can be tricky for those wearing heels, the town is overall very easy and enjoyable to traverse on foot. The bridge can only be crossed on foot.
