Summary
DescriptionStockholm taxi pricey vs cheap.jpg
English: Taxis in Sweden are as of March 2012 legally allowed to rip you off. Politicians with a somewhat over-optimistic belief in the market economys self-regulating mechanisms have decided that it's OK to charge thousands of US dollars for a trip to the airport and that the customers should check the price first. Supply and demand, and all that.
Lesson: CHECK THE PRICE FIRST!!!!! All taxis have to have a yellow sign on the rear window stating the prices for an average trip. Keep your eyes on the largest number: it should be around 300 SEK. The taxi on the left is almost twice as expensive as the one on the right., Stockholm.
